Windows CHM to Word is a small but very useful application, which allows you to convert Help files (CHM format) to Microsoft Word files (DOC format). You need to have MS Word installed to use Windows CHM To WORD 5.6 program.

Using the program is very simple. Simply add a CHM file to convert and hit Start Convert. The program will convert the file to a DOC format. However, the default output path is c: emp and Windows CHM To WORD 5.6 cant be changed. Before starting to convert, you need to create Windows CHM To WORD 5.6 folder. Otherwise, you wont be able to convert your files. Since Windows CHM To WORD 5.6 is a trial version, you can only convert CHM files smaller than 150 Kb. The converted files were OK and the conversion process was pretty fast.

Pluses:

Drawbacks / flaws: I couldnt change the output path under any circumstances. I had to create the c: emp folder myself, since the program wouldnt create Windows CHM To WORD 5.6 automatically. It would have been nice, if it could also convert HLP file formats to DOC.

In conclusion: If you are too lazy to copy/paste the CHM content into a DOC file, you might as well download and install this application.
