DS-101 supports USB storage device and USB printer only. Synology DS 101 Firmware 2.0.1 .3.0371 does not support the USB storage device connected with USB hub. 2. If the Networking setting is DHCP and DHCP server has WINS server service, DS-101 will not remove the WINS server setting. The reason is the existence of WINS server will make the DS-101 functions work in Windows network environment smoother, so as long as there is a method to get the WINS server information, DS-101 will not delete the WINS server setting, and itll capture the WINS setting of DHCP server. 3. Windows XP client: If the guest account is enabled and has no password on DS-101 , when a Windows XP client connects to DS-101 by CIFS, Windows XP will not ask for the name/password and automatically switch to use guest account to access DS-101 directly. 4. Some USB disk requires plugging both USB connectors for getting enough power supply from USB connectors Alternatively such disk may use external power. 5. USB Disk Limitation: * FAT32 format is portable, easy and convenient to use on Windows and Mac OS X.The maximum of the USB disk is 500GB. Mac OS 9 does not support FAT32. * Native format is the most reliable format. USB disks with such format can be used among different Disk Stations. * The USB disk must be larger than 1GB; the maximum is 750GB.Limitation & Known Issues for all versions * External Disk Limitation: o FAT32 is supported on Windows and Mac OS X. Mac OS 9 does not support FAT32. o The maximum hard disk capacity is 1 TB
