As the name suggests, ReaConverter Standard is a image file converter. The list of input file types is impressive. The program is structured as a wizard in three simple steps. Each step is so well documented that even a kid can use ReaConverter Standard 5.0. In the first step the window is divided in three parts. The first one is the folder selector showing your folder tree. The second one is the file selector. Here you can see all the image files available in the selected folder. The third one offers you the list of the selected files as well as a preview window. In ReaConverter Standard 5.0 preview window you can preview the already selected files as well as files from the file selector. The second step of the wizard is customizing your images. Being a batch converter, the settings made here will apply to all the selected images. ReaConverter Standard 5.0 step is also divided into three parts. The first one is an image selector. Here you select an image on which you will see the effects of the settings you make. Besides the settings like filters, effects, and watermark you can also replace the background color but in order to do so, ReaConverter Standard 5.0 has to be of the exactly same color. The last step of the wizard is reserved for the output settings. Here you can set the output folder, the prefix or the suffix of the filename as well as the output format. Among ReaConverter Standard 5.0 is additional features Ive spotted one very useful but not very well developed. The red-eye removal tool is very interesting because you can actually select the area of the eye which is red unlike in other softwares where you can only drag a circle on it. I say that ReaConverter Standard 5.0 is not well prepared because it lacks some features like applying color to a red eye. Another problem of this feature is that when it removes the red it doesnt remove it completely even if you select that area repeatedly. The first removal is the last for that eye because the rest will apply no effect. As I mentioned before, due to the wizard-like interface, the program is very easy to use. The user interface is intuitive. Pluses: Easy to use and offers some nice features. Drawbacks / flaws: It still needs some adjustments for some features like the red-eye removal tool. In conclusion: I look forward for the next release hopping that ReaConverter Standard 5.0 will bring some improvements. ReaConverter Standard 5.0 is a nice program and I enjoyed testing it. version reviewed: 5.0
