KMDF 1.1 supports the following new features:• Development of drivers for Windows 2000 • Additional methods for DMA:• WdfDmaEnablerGetFragmentLength returns the maximum length of a DMA transaction that the operating system supports.• WdfDmaEnablerWdmGetDmaAdapter returns a pointer to the underlying WDM DMA_ADAPTER structure that the framework creates when you create a DMA enabler object.• WdfCommonBufferCreateWithConfig creates a buffer for DMA and enables you to specify the alignment for the buffer.• Additional debugger extensions, including !wdftmffile, which sets the trace message file that the !wdflogdump command uses to format the KMDF trace logKMDF includes:• Header files• Libraries• A redistributable co-installer• Sample code• Development tools• Documentation To download KMDF, you must burn an ISO file to a CD or DVD. Therefore, you must have a CD burner or a DVD burner with appropriate supporting software. If you do not have a CD or DVD burner, you can find third-party software products on the Internet that will allow you to create a virtual CD or DVD drive.
