HP Notebook 68DGU Bios ROMPaq F.02 package creates a bootable CD, or USB Key to locally restore or upgrade the System BIOS notebook models with a 68DGU Family ROM. Note: Please ONLY insert the USB drive that will be used to format and create a bootable BIOS upgrade USB drive. Please remove all unused USB drives and flash drives from the systems. To determine the ROM revision and ROM date, run the Setup Utility by pressing F10 on the target computer during startup and then viewFile/System Information. HOW TO USE:1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive. NOTE: HP Notebook 68DGU Bios ROMPaq F.02 SoftPaq enables the creation of a bootable diskette, CD, or USB Key. Be sure to have the selected media available before beginning Step 2.2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. When prompted, insert the appropriate media into the notebook (or attach to the notebook) and follow the on-screen instructions to create the bootable media. NOTE: After the selected bootable media has been created, the SoftPaq.EXE file downloaded in Step 2 can be deleted, if desired.3. Power Off the notebook. IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE COMPUTER WHILE PERFORMING THE PROCEDURE IN STEP 4!4. Make sure the newly created bootable media is still attached or in the appropriate drive, and Power On the notebook. Follow the on-screen instructions to upgrade the System BIOS.
