ProLiant Support Packs represent OS specific bundles of ProLiant optimized drivers, utilities, and amanagement agents. ProLiant Support Packs provide customers with a ProLiant system software baseline that has already been tested and verified by HP. Users can standardize upon a particular release of a ProLiant Support Pack as a base level for the blades throughout their environment. In addtition to the baseline capabilities inherent with ProLiant Support Packs, HP provides tools that make deploying the software updates to ProLiant Workstation Blades throughout the environment easy. For the Microsoft Windows XP Professional, and Microsoft Windows Vista for x64 Editions environments, we provide a deployments utility named  HP Smart Update Manager which allows customers to deploy software updates delivered with ProLiant Support Packs to remote blades on a one to many basis. HP Smart Update Manager is automatically downloaded as part of the ProLiant Support Pack.
