Easy Drive Lock is a small application that helps you increase the security of your data by locking your partition.

The program consists of two executable files, one used for locking and another one for unlocking your drives. All drives you want to lock must be NTFS. Locking and unlocking a drive is very simple. You just choose the drive you want to lock, type your password, confirm Easy Drive Lock V3.0, and you are done. To unlock a locked drive, you have to select the drive, enter the password, and the drive becomes unlocked.

However, there might be a problem with the shared resources. While testing the program I learned that any locked partitions can be accessed, if you enter the full path of an item (file or folder) into Windows Explorer. So much for protection. A locked partition can be accessed either locally or by using a remote machine Easy Drive Lock V3.0 way.

Another thing, that wasnt specified in the README file, was that the program might crash if you havent changed the settings of the drive you want to lock/unlock.

Pluses : Theres no need to install the software. You can unzip Easy Drive Lock V3.0 and use it immediately. Easy Drive Lock V3.0 means that you can store it on removable media and increase your mobility.

Drawbacks / flaws : You can only lock/unlock NTFS drives. It has poor documentation. Security level unsatisfactory.

In conclusion: Locking/unlocking a drive is a very easy and fast process, but the security level is quite unsatisfactory.
